Senjougahara Hitagi, Tsundere or Not?

So, what do you think? Me Myself, I've always thought that she's a Tsundere, until yesterday when someone told me that she's not even close to one.. Therefore, out of my curiosity I conducted a research to find out whether she is a Tsundere or not .. Wait .. Do you know what is a Tsundere?

Basically, a Tsundere is a combination of two words, "tsuntsun" and "deredere". Tsuntsun means egoistic, hostile, tough, while Deredere means exhausted love struck. That makes a Tsundere is a type of person (usually female) who has a cold type of personality and shows hostile toward another persons (tsuntsun), but then they slowly develops a deredere personality or feelings toward another character and starts showing their warmth side.

Senjougahara does have 'tsun' personality, this can be seen when she threatened Araragi not to tell anyone about her secret and physically threatened Araragi throughout the story.. So I don't think there is any problem with her tsun side..

But the problem is that Senjougahara doesn't have any trouble showing her true feeling towards Araragi, in fact she even call araragi as her lover, which is against the Tsundere personality. Because character with a Tsundere personality must have an emotional mask, meaning that they didn't show/express their true feeling in words, while Senjougahara keep on asking Araragi whether he love her (ep12), she also express her feeling when Araragi ask her whether she love him or not... By doing this, she's loosing her cold side, which is another aspect of a Tsundere Character.. And one more thing, a Tsundere somehow act abusively towards their love interest..

Full Metal Coast from AnimeSuki created a list of Criteria for Tsundere:

1. Emotional Mask (wouldn't easily reveal her romantic feelings for another person).
2. Hot/Cold mood swings (quick-tempered person but someone who can be sweet as well).
3. When angered (by love of 3rd party) must deliver physical abuse.
4. Aggravated easily (blunt,curt or aggressive).
5. Character in question (who is to be considered a Tsundere) must have love or feelings for character who they are Tsuning towards.

I think the first two are the most important criteria for being a Tsundere. And even though senjougahara does have Tsundere  traits, Senjougahara didn't fulfill all of those criteria (maybe 2 out of 5) which makes her NOT a Tsundere... But despite the fact that she's not a Tsundere, she's still one of my favorite characters.. (Would be better if she's a tsundere)

Note: Some said that she's a mixture of mixture of Kuudere, Yandere, and Tsundere. (I don't really understand what is a Kuudere or Yandere).
